1949 - 2009

A 60 year old company story

1949: Karl Bergmann founded a trading company for agricultural products, in the times of economic reconstruction in Germany.
1959: Helmut Bergmann, Karl's son, inherited the company that changed its name to Karl Bergmann son. During the sixties the company developed and became a modern trading company: New buildings were built, then the stock at the later headquaters was expanded.
1965: The company transferred to a new factory with garden shop, 3 affiliates in the counties Alzenau and Aschaffenburg settled down. In the sixties big fattening units and fodder supply grew up fast.
1970: The wholesale with fruits and vegetables was growing, it was a new business branch and a third leg of the company.
1974: The company Karl Bergmann son is the first „green warehouse" in Bavaria. The name is getting more and more known: „The green department store“ is a synonym for agricultural trade around garden and agriculture.
1974 The founder Karl Bergmann died.
1989 The company changed to a limited company. After the German riunification agricultural trade was expanded also to the new Federal Lands, supra-regional corn trade was strengthened.
1992 First sales were made with corn of organic production.
1998 Corn was traded in whole Europe.
2003 Klaus Bergmann inherited the management in third generation. In this year GMP (good manufactoring practice) is implemented.
2004 The company was an audited and accredited Bio Suisse trading company.
2005 A solar energy plant with 29,9KWp is installed. At the headquaters a 9,45KWp  plant was installed, computerised support for the charge management was introduced.
2006 Start for the corn trade with "overseas".
2007 We add the American NOP Standard to our Bio certifications.
2008 A new agricultural software is implemented. With the new communication technology it is easy to track back the data exactly and rapidly.
2009 A fresh start for a New Year, our new company presentation with its new LOGO reflects our new immage.
